Is it possible to recreate the exhilaration and atmosphere of a live gig using concert movie footage? This May we launch a series of events to prove that immersive movie visuals can create thrilling ‘live’ experiences.
In 2006 the Beastie Boys handed out 50 cameras to audience members at their sold-out performance in New York’s famed Madison Square Garden. Together, these 50 different perspectives make up the concert movie Awesome! I Fuckin’ Shot That.
You are now invited to travel back in time to experience that concert – live on film, screened with multiple projectors creating 360° movie visuals, intense sound and gig-quality atmosphere. This will be a journey into the world of a live Beastie Boys show, capturing the exhilarating experience of a live musical performance.
WARNING! This experience will be loud. There will be no seats. This is a movie screening, but you’ve got to bring the energy of a gig.
